Position Summary

The Sales Planning Analyst will play a key role in driving sales excellence initiatives. This position will manage sales projects and tools (CEM, SIS, CPQ) as well as overall sales processes to drive North American sales revenue, market share, profitability and customer satisfaction. The Analyst will have responsibility for machine pricing, sales forecast process, company reports and dashboards, statistical analysis, market share reporting and sales programs.

Position Responsibilities - Essential

  • Analyze market statistics included market trends and share of market (SOM) data.
  • Report BOMAG shipments and drive communication and coordination with the association (AEM).
  • Maintain the monthly sales scorecards for the Territory Manager and Rental Sales Managers.
  • Develop and implement sales dashboards and reports, including ad hoc analyses from the sales team.
  • Develop and manage Dealer Management tools that support the Dealer Management program.
  • Prepare sales data and metrics for dealer meetings, especially quarterly dealer meetings.
  • Manage the dealer territories and contracted product lines in the territory mapping tool.
  • Calculate business cases for dealer territory expansion and/or product line changes.
  • Develop, implement new functionalities, and provide system support of BOMAG’s CRM/CEM system.
  • Manage BOMAG’s Sales Information System (SIS), including user management and implementation of features.
  • Champion the development for, implement and manage the Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) system for BA.
  • Find innovative ways and processes to make the day-to-day work of the sales department more efficient.
  • Prepare price lists in the pricing software as required and coordinate updated price list publication in order to maximize company competitiveness, sales and profitability. Provide SAP system support when pricing issues occur.
  • Provide ad hoc margin calculations and pricing reports to ensure that profitability levels are met.
  • Manage the monthly forecast process and inventory planning, stock program and inventory levels.
  • Maintain and drive standard configurations as well as option classification of our machines.
  • Develop the annual sales plan, together with the territories and the senior management team.
  • Track on-time performance of the factories and implement new KPIs.
  • Develop and manage sales programs such as the monthly aged equipment and spiff program.
  • Responsibility as project manager for various sales projects, key liaison with the colleagues in Germany.
  • Travel for meetings to assist the sales team.
  • Ensure that a “customer first” mindset is the primary driver for decision making.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 8 years of marketing and/or sales experience
  • Desire and ability to work in fast paced sales environment
  • Knowledge of dealer business environment
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with ability to develop strong professional working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Accurate and reliable self-starter
  • Capability to plan effectively, set priorities, make sound decisions, and to manage several complex projects with interruptions while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to analyze and present data effectively
  • Ability to multitask, solve problems, manage time, adapt to changing work conditions, and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
